The thinking person faces a major dilemma: Religion vs. Science. We live in a world in which scientific advances even in theology itself challenge established religious though. Yet one still has a scense that there is something more. There is something more than the material. Perhaps what has been missing is the realization that even what we call the material is also very much alive. Quantum physics has debunked the Laplacian dictum about God: "I have no need for that hypothesis". Increasingly we are seeing the universe based on information theory. Information the basis of consciousness. We live in a living universe. Indeed God is All!
When I speak of the panthesist view don't mistake this for the trival tree-hugger philosophy of the environmentalists. This is not the correct view because you are greater than any tree. This of course does not mean one should disparage the great ecosystem on this planet. Naturally we should maintain good stewardship of it just has we should take care of our house. But God is All: the entire fabric of reality and God's laws are the laws of nature.
